I told myself i'd be on Real Radio by the end of 2007, and managed it with two days of the year to spare.

Now for the regular slot...

Livejournal still exists? Ok.

I remember the days before Bebo and other assorted rubbish that this was THE place to be. Changed days indeed.

Anyway, if anyone is still out there, hello! Things have changed over the past 18 months that's for sure, and mainly for the better. I suppose there's one or two things we'd all like to go back and change but it isn't as simple as that unfortunately, is it?

And i'm now working on the radio, it's all snowballed since the 'Glasgay' radio feature at uni... haha. For now, I am a traffic and travel person on loads of stations, but mainly on a Sunday and on Talk 107 (Edinburgh) and Wave 102 (Dundee).

Right, back into the LJ abyss I think. I hope everyone is doing just fine. Oh and if any of you are looking for a job in radio part-time doing what I do, just give me a shout. It's in Edinburgh which probably suits nobody, but it's good experience.

I'm just about to go to work. But before I do, thanks everyone for being so nice and supportive recently. It's going to take a long time but i'm trying to move away from it all.

I tried to make everything better on Saturday and I seriously messed it all up big time. So i'm taking a massive step back. I shut down again and i'm sorry. But i'm putting that incident behind me and getting on with life. Work will tie me down this week but i've got some plans for the weekend and i'll feel so much better for it.

In reality despite all the troubles i'm actually having a nice time of it just now. I was up til half 4 this morning chatting away on MSN to someone i've only ever met once or twice. We seem to be getting on really well, just chatting away about anything and everything. It's extremely refreshing.

Anyway i'm off to work as planned. Get in touch with me for a talk sometime, whether I deserve it or not. I'd like to hear from you.

I'm such a fucking idiot, you know that? I let myself believe things might work out so soon and I got sucked in. Probably confused a few people as well, but it's all off again. And I felt nothing but anger yesterday, but today i'm down in the dumps again.

And I keep finding things from her like little cards telling me how much she loves me and appreciates me etc etc. It doesn't help.

I'm away to write a letter, then i'm going to get so drunk i'm going to forget what her name is.

Went to see the Raconteurs last night at the ABC. Very interesting, and worth taking the time to try and listen to. It's a four-piece band (although they had 5 on stage last night) starring Brendan Benson and Jack White, so chances are there is some sort of influence there you would like.

Fans and converts, check these out:

Saturday March 25: Live acoustic session on The Dermot O'Leary Show, BBC Radio 2, 5-7pm (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2)

or

Wednesday March 29: Radio 1 session with Zane Lowe, 7-9pm. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1)

Do it.

Ok, so maybe it was a bad idea to underestimate the amount of submissions we'd get to the magazine. As a result, I worked from around 2pm yesterday right through to 9am this morning with only an hour or so break for dinner. There was still a few errors in the magazine this morning, but it's online and I love it.

Our proofreader picked up on a few things that need sorted out in future but understandably, it's only our first issue so there's bound to be errors somewhere. He also picked out his favourite articles and favourite 'wordsmith'. Someone's gonna have a big head when I tell them who!

Anyway, check it out if you haven't already at http://www.topnotchonline.co.uk

Famous people make me angry.

"He pleaded guilty to a total of seven charges of possessing illegal substances at three separate court appearances last month."

Yes, Pete Doherty folks. Enough to get you sent down for ten years, so what does this highly public character receive for his crime?

"Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been given a 12-month community order after admitting possession of drugs."

THAT'LL TEACH EM! Err, maybe not.
